This was my frist stay with Swissotel and overall it was disappointing due to slow lifts, and having to use two, and a poor in room dining experience. You had to allow 5-10 minutes to go from street level to your room each time. I tried to order room service through the QR code, it kept on failing. I then tried calling reception/concierge, no answer. So I walked down to the restaurant and explained the situation, and was told to use the QR code, the one that doesn't work. I asked could I not just talk to a human (there were two staff in front of me) to put the orde through. At first they said they couldn't do that. I asked where the food was made. They said in the kitche. I said where is the kitchen, they said 'over there'. I said, could you not just walk in and ask them to make the order. eventually they figured it out and I got the pizza to the room 20 minutes later (the pizza was excellent). it was the opposite of good/responsive customer service.

I mentioned to the receptionist that I wanted breakfast when I extended my stay but the next morning at the buffet I was told breakfast wasn’t included and I had to buy it on the spot. It was $44 and mind you I’d booked in advance because it will be $35 if you booked one night before. Then when I checked out I was told I had to pay $56 because it was Anzac Day. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating.

This was one of the worst stays i have had at Swissotel. The lifts were broken, the steak was cooked poorly, and the shower door leaked like usual. Im a repeat customer and the location is good but the quality is not really up to scratch any more
