From the start to the finish, this experience was exceptional. The staff are very attentive and very engaging; they truly make the experience even more rememberable. The leadership of the general manager is apparent, and I have to say, I have never seen a manager so passionate about their job, and this passion is cascaded down to the team. He is a credit to Accor, and can see him develop within the organisation, as not only does he have great operational skill, but his strategic foresight will be an huge asset. As a regular user of Accor, I can say without any hesitation this hotel is the best I have stayed in. In terms of facilities, the spa/pool/jacuzzi is intimate and very enjoyable. The layout is reflective of the size of the hotel, and has more than enough facilities. The layout of this is very well thought-out, and really puts tranquility at the heart of the design. The designer needs praise for that! The food in the restaurant is well curated and very flavoursome. Really, the focaccia is the best I have ever had. The main courses (we had four over our trip) as well as the desserts are very fresh and very flavoursome; the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. The service was impeccable and efficient. Moreover, the cost is very reasonable in terms of the area, and the restaurant which is outsourced, clearly is very in-keeping with the ethos of the hotel. This partnership works very well, and maybe that could continue through the Romanian market of Accor. The breakfast is very diverse, and again very fresh. The cost is very reasonable, and is a must. I really stress if one books the hotel, this should be included from the outset. The rooms are very spacious, and have quality bed-linen and fixtures. Really this for me is a home to home experience. The views are exceptional. I would certainly return without hesitation, and would be my number one choice for Poiana. Really the staff should be proud of this hotel, but they are the backbone of making this a great experience.

The apartment is excellent! The breakfast is absolutely unacceptable for a five-star property. The spa is mediocre: tiny pool, lukewarm sauna, and a 5sq.m. gym.

Very nice 5* star experience, spacious room, large balcony with a beautiful mountain view and sunset. Excellent service. Very good restaurant in the hotel. Great traditional Romanian restaurant near by. Direct access to hiking trails. Wonderful SPA with good body and facial treatments.
